FAQ's

Can I have two or more vans on the same policy?

Yes, we have various policies that allow you to insure more than one van. The advantage of this is that you have one renewal date.

Can I insure a car and van on the same policy?

Generally not, although we can arrange a fleet policy which can cover a range of vehicle types as well as cars and vans, such as motorbikes, motor homes, mini-diggers, fork lift trucks, tractors, imported cars, cherry pickers and larger commercial vehicles.

Do I need to tell you that I have alloy wheels on my van?

It depends on whether or not they have been fitted as standard by the manufacturer. If you have made any modifications to the van, they should be notified to us, to ensure we provide you with a suitable policy. Failure to notify us could jeopardise any future claim.

I am thinking of getting a vehicle that is 4.5 tonne GVW (gross vehicle weight), how do I go about getting insured?

We have many different van and commerical vehicle policies available with specialist schemes to suit all situations. If you are driving a vehicle over 3.5 tonne GVW for business use then you will most probably need an operator’s licence. To view VOSA’s Goods Vehicle Operator Licensing Guide click here.
