What is a claims experience?
With a fleet policy, a claims experience form is completed and issued to you prior to renewal stating the number of vehicles insured over the term of the policy, the number of claims made and the amount paid as a result of any claims. This information is used to assess the level of risk posed by you and is used to calculate your renewal premium.
Is there a maximum limit of vehicles that can go on a fleet policy?
No, you can have as many vehicles as you require.
What is the minimum number of vehicles necessary for a fleet policy?
The majority of fleet policies require a minimum of 5 vehicles, although we are also able to arrange fleet policies for a minimum of just 3 vehicles.
Can I add my private car on to my business fleet policy?
Yes, it is possible to add your private vehicle to a business fleet policy. In fact, you can cover a wide variety of vehicles on a fleet policy, such as classic cars, motorbikes, motor homes and imported vehicles.
Do I have to pay the premium in full?
No, payment of the premium can be made by monthly direct debit, normally over 10 months, and we operate a short-term instalment plan to enable customers to spread payments over 2, 3, 4 or 5 months.
Can I add and remove vehicles as and when I want to?
Yes, just let us know when you require an amendment and in most cases we will put the adjustment through within a few minutes.
